Quite often for the Feminine to flourish and spread her wings there also needs to be a solid foundation in the Masculine – form, mind, information, methods. Types of tea, processing methods, and what makes tea a living tea.
3. WATER/FIRE/TEAWARE - ELEMENTS
4. CHAXI – TEA STAGE/MUSIC/INCENSE
What is Chaxi. How to create it. What to take into account.
5. TYPES OF TEA CEREMONIES.
Bowl Tea, Gongfu, boiled tea, whisked tea, senchado
How to know the right way to serve tea. Which tea to serve according to the mood, season, time of the day.
6. TEA AS MEDICINE
Is tea medicine? What makes it medicine? In which way?
Can it cure ailments?
We will explore various aspects of tea as medicine.
We will also explore The Leaf itself - what makes it so special.

WHAT IS THE ESSENCE OF THE WAY OF TEA?
A film called Beyond the Clouds tells the story of the nomadic baggage carriers that suddenly stopped in the middle of nowhere in the mountains. Without explanations. Just stopped with their eyes closed and sat for hours. Everyone was perplexed. Following a number of hours the carriers stood up and resumed their journey. One of the elders decided to give an explanation.
He said: “We were walking too fast and our souls got left behind. So we had to stop and wait for the souls to catch up.”
This story is such a great depiction of what tea is. Tea Ceremony is that space for us to rest and become quiet, so our souls, that got lost in the busyness of life, in the constant doing, can catch up with us. Otherwise, without this time, without the soul, everything becomes meaningless, disconnected. And life without connection to the sacred and meaning is empty.
