We invite you to join me and Skandihus founder, Stine Dulong, in their tranquil Walthamstow studio, for a grounding and powerful workshop.
Stine will begin the afternoon with a pottery workshop, using the magical powers of clay to help us to connect with our inner creative child and spirit. Indulging our sense of touch in a playful meditative exploration, they will teach the oldest pottery technique we know of, called “pinching”, to create a tea vessel. We will focus on the ability of clay to reconnect our heart, hands and mind - bringing our whole being back in balance, facilitating better grounding and presence in our bodies and life.
Lera will then lead a tea ceremony, inviting us to slow down and connect to presence. Deep presence, that, when connected to, can be an incredible source of power, vitality, inspiration and love. Tea ceremony is an invitation to slow down and go within during these colder months - a time to press pause in order to recharge, ready for what lies ahead.
ABOUT STINE (SKANDIHUS)
Stine Dulong, quit her corporate lawyer job in 2013 to become a full time potter. For her, clay was a gateway into transformation. Not only did it become her career, and change the structure of her life on the surface, but it fundamentally shifted who she is and how she perceives the world. She had tried yoga and meditation, but it never “clicked” for her. Yet through pottery, she found a way into a slower, more mindful and joyous way of existing.
Stine’s work is inspired by a love for Scandinavian design in which beauty is radiated through light colours, the ample use of natural materials, minimalism and functionality. Like many Scandinavian designers before her, Stine believes that quality design should stylish and relevant to the modern human being by providing minimal distraction and maximum aesthetic value.

REFUND POLICY
Please note that we are not able to offer refunds for our event bookings, so be sure to double check your dates before booking. However, we also realise that the unexpected happens, and that a degree of flexibility is appreciated. We therefore allow transfers to other Taster Classes up until 14 days prior to the class. Within 14 days of the class, exchanges are not allowed but you can pass your spot on to a friend or family member. Please note that this refund policy is also applicable to anyone who has tested positive for COVID-19. Again, you are welcome to pass on your spot to a friend or family member.
Our refund policy is strict because it enables us to pay our staff a fair wage, and remain accessible as a studio. Each weekend we get 8-10 requests and if we were to accommodate each one, we would be forced to lower our staff wages or increase our prices - both of which we really want to avoid. We hope you understand that this is why there are no exemptions to our refund policies.
